Application & Use
How long do LastingDays temporary tattoos last?
Our hand-drawn temporary tattoos typically last 3–7 days depending on placement, skin type, and care. Tattoos on low-friction areas like the forearm, collarbone, or ankle last longest. Apply to clean, dry, oil-free skin and avoid scrubbing the area in the shower.
How do I apply a LastingDays temporary tattoo?
Four steps: (1) Clean and fully dry your skin, then peel off the clear protective film. (2) Place the design face-down on your skin and thoroughly wet the paper backing with water. (3) Press and pat firmly for about 20 seconds, until the paper starts to slide off. Slowly peel the paper backing away. (4) Let it air-dry and avoid water contact for 2 hours for maximum wear time.
How do I remove a temporary tattoo?
Within 5 minutes of applying: press a piece of clear tape over the design and peel it off. Once dried: apply baby oil, coconut oil, or rubbing alcohol with a cotton pad and gently rub for 15–20 seconds — the tattoo lifts cleanly. To speed up natural fading, exfoliate the area in the shower.
Are your tattoos waterproof?
Yes. After applying, let the tattoo air-dry and avoid water contact for 2 hours. Once fully set, it holds up through showers, swimming, sweat, and workouts without smudging or peeling. Avoid excessive scrubbing to maximize wear time.
Where should I apply my temporary tattoo for the longest wear?
Low-friction, low-stretch areas hold a tattoo longest: forearm, collarbone, shoulder blade, ankle, calf, and back of the neck. Avoid the inside of the wrist, palms, fingers, feet, and any area covered by tight clothing or jewelry — these wear off much faster.
Will it work on dark or tan skin tones?
Yes. LastingDays inks are pigmented and show clearly on all skin tones. Designs with bold black linework (like our Animal and Butterfly collections) tend to look most striking on deeper skin tones, while fine-line and pastel designs may appear softer.

Are LastingDays tattoos safe? Are they FDA-approved?
Yes. Our inks are FDA-compliant, PETA-certified cruelty-free, vegan, and made from plant-based, non-toxic ingredients. We recommend a 24-hour patch test for sensitive skin. Not recommended for children with sensitive skin or anyone with a known alcohol allergy.
Are your products cruelty-free and vegan?
Yes. We are proudly PETA-certified cruelty-free. We never test on animals, and our ink formula is 100% vegan — no animal-derived ingredients of any kind.
Can children use your tattoos?
Our tattoos are non-toxic and suitable for children ages 3 and up, with adult application recommended. Always patch test first and avoid applying near eyes, lips, or broken skin. Not recommended for children with sensitive skin.
Are LastingDays tattoos safe during pregnancy?
Our inks are FDA-compliant, plant-based, and non-toxic, but as a precaution we recommend consulting your doctor before applying any cosmetic product during pregnancy. If approved, do a 24-hour patch test on a small area first.
Do they contain heavy metals, parabens, or harsh chemicals?
No. LastingDays inks are free from heavy metals, parabens, phthalates, and formaldehyde. They are made with FDA-compliant, plant-based pigments. We use only the same cosmetic-grade ingredients found in skin-safe makeup products.
Shipping & Orders
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes. Free standard shipping on all orders over $30. Express and international shipping options are available at checkout.
How long does shipping take?
Standard shipping takes 3–5 business days within the US. Express shipping takes 1–2 business days. International shipping varies by destination. Orders are processed within 1 business day.
Can I return or exchange my order?
Due to the personal nature of our products, we cannot accept returns on opened items. If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, email support@lastingdays.com within 7 days and we'll make it right.

What makes hand-drawn temporary tattoos different from printed ones?
Most temporary tattoos are mass-produced from stock graphics or AI-generated art. Every LastingDays design is hand-drawn from scratch by founder and illustrator Zane — no AI, no clip art, no copy-paste. You get the same line weight, imperfection, and intentional detail as real fine-line tattoo work.
Can I use a temporary tattoo to test a real tattoo design?
Yes — that's one of the most popular reasons people buy LastingDays. Wear a design for a few days to see how it looks on your skin, how it feels in different placements, and whether you still love it after a week. Many of our customers use our tattoos to commit (or reconsider) before booking a permanent appointment.
Do you offer custom designs?
Yes. We offer custom design services for bulk orders, weddings, bachelorette parties, brand collaborations, and events. Email support@lastingdays.com with your idea and we'll get back to you within 24 hours.
What sizes do the tattoos come in?
Sizes vary by design. Each product page includes approximate dimensions. Most individual designs range from 1–4 inches in their largest dimension, suited for wrist, forearm, ankle, or collarbone placement.
