The simple guide
How to Apply Your Temporary Tattoo
From peel to reveal โ everything you need to know for a flawless application every time.
Cut Out Your Design
Using scissors, carefully cut around your chosen tattoo design. The closer you cut to the edge of the design, the more realistic it will look on skin.
Cut as close to the design as possible for the most realistic result.
Prep Your Skin
Clean the area of skin where you want to apply the tattoo. Make sure it is completely dry and free of oils, lotions, or makeup. Freshly cleaned skin works best.
Avoid applying on freshly shaved skin or broken skin. Wait 24 hours after shaving.
Place Face-Down
Remove the clear protective film from the top of the tattoo (if present). Place the tattoo face-down onto your skin in the desired position. Press gently to hold it in place.
Make sure the tattoo is positioned exactly how you want it before wetting โ repositioning is difficult once wet.
Wet & Wait
Using a damp cloth, sponge, or wet paper towel, press firmly and evenly over the entire tattoo. Hold for 30โ40 seconds. The paper should feel completely wet through.
Use warm water for better transfer. Press firmly โ don't just dab.
Peel & Reveal
Slowly peel one corner of the backing paper away. If the design is transferring cleanly, continue peeling slowly. If not, re-wet and wait another 15 seconds before trying again.
Let the tattoo air dry completely.
If any part doesn't transfer, don't panic โ just re-press with the wet cloth for a few more seconds.
Make it last
Tips to Extend Your Tattoo's Life
With the right care, your tattoo can last up to 7 days.
Wait Before Washing
Wait at least 2 hours before getting the area wet. Let the tattoo fully bond with your skin first.
Pat Dry, Don't Rub
When drying off, gently pat the tattoo dry rather than rubbing it with a towel.
Apply to Dry Areas
Tattoos last longest on areas that don't flex much โ collarbone, shoulder, upper arm, inner wrist.
Seal with Translucent Powder
Dusting translucent setting powder over the tattoo can significantly extend its life.
Avoid Heavy Moisturizer
Don't apply lotions or body oils directly over the tattoo โ this breaks down the ink faster.
Avoid Scrubbing
When showering, don't scrub directly over the tattoo. Let water run over it naturally.
Avoid High-Friction Areas
Placing tattoos on elbows, feet, or waistbands where clothing rubs will cause faster fading.
Avoid Sunscreen Over Tattoo
Applying sunscreen directly over the tattoo will shorten its wear time.
